Elephant'23
This sculpture, made of concrete, embodies a striking contrast between material and form. The heavy, durable concrete transforms into a symbol of fragility and vulnerability—a small elephant calf curled up in a pose of rest and safety, as if frozen in a moment of serene slumber.
With its closed eyes, smooth lines, and soft shapes, the piece evokes a sense of warmth and comfort despite the roughness of the material. This paradox highlights the idea that even within the hardest structures, tenderness can be found, and behind external strength, there is always something living and sensitive.
