This sculpture is a metaphor for relationships in which the boundaries between two people become blurred and indistinct. The male and female figures are fused so tightly that they lose their individuality, merging into a single monolith. Yet, despite this union, there remains a tension between them, as if an invisible barrier still exists.
The female figure is soft, fluid in its plasticity, with smooth and rounded forms, as if she is ready to dissolve into her partner, to trust, to become part of a shared whole. In contrast, the male figure is more angular, tense, with a hidden rigidity. He seems to be internally shielding himself, protecting against the outside world, even in a moment of such close contact.
This work explores the complex dynamics of human relationships—the desire for fusion and the fear of losing oneself, tenderness and resistance, love and the boundaries we consciously or unconsciously build. The concrete material reinforces this idea: the weight and solidity of love, the impossibility of complete separation, and the inevitable imprint one person leaves on another.
