Peter Zaytsev is a Los Angeles based architect and sculptor.
A MARCHI graduate, a famous architect and a co-founder of za bor architects, he has worked on numerous architectural projects in Europe and Asia, including "Nagatinskiy Zaton" Moscow Metro station, office spaces for IT giants like Yandex and Badoo, Castrol and a wide range of private interiors.
Having gained success and recognition in the field of architecture, Peter decided to move to sculpture which had always fascinated him.
Today Zaytsev's sculptures can be found in contemporary art galleries and private collections in the US, Russia, Germany, Italy and England.
"As an architect with over 20 years of experience, I have always been drawn to the ways in which form and function intersect. My transition to sculpting has allowed me to explore this interest in a more abstract and expressive way.
My current work in concrete is a continuation of this exploration, using this material to create sculptures that explore the complexities of human interactions and relationships. My background in Moscow and my current location in Los Angeles inform my work, providing a rich cultural context for these pieces.
Through my sculptures, I aim to capture the beauty and elegance of the built environment, while also exploring the deeper emotional connections that shape our lives."
