The Scogliera Viva: Sculpting the Sea competition is held every two years. In 2021, it was held for the 20th time.
During the competition, authors from all over the world send ideas for their sculptures. Three winners, selected by a professional jury, get the opportunity to come to Caorle and bring their idea to life on the Adriatic coast by carving it in natural stone.
"On June 26, in the city of Caorle on the northern coast of Italy, the prizes of the Scogliera Viva: Sculpting the Sea competition took place. One of the three winners of 2021 was the sculptor and architect Peter Zaytsev, whose work is made in the technique of deep relief. This is the first sculpture of Peter in Italy, as well as the first sculpture realized by a Russian sculptor as part of Scogliera Viva in the entire 20-year history of the competition."
